On October 15, the 134th China Import and Export Fair opened grandly at the Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex. The scale of this Canton Fair has reached a new high, with a total exhibition area of ​​1.55 million square meters, an increase of 50,000 square meters from the previous session; the total number of booths reached 74,000, an increase of nearly 4,600; the number of exhibitors was 28,533, an increase of 3,135 from the previous session, showing a strong growth momentum.

Compared with the spring Canton Fair in the first half of the year, this autumn Canton Fair attracted more buyers from key markets to participate in the fair, with the number of pre-registered European and American buyers increasing by 8.6% year-on-year, and the number of participants from countries along the “Belt and Road” also increased by 11.2%. Among them, the electronic home appliance industry has attracted much attention and has become the industry with the largest number of pre-registrations.

The atmosphere at the exhibition site was warm and exhibitors generally performed positively. The 10 member companies of the Foshan Nanhai District Electric Fan Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the “association”) made a collective appearance, demonstrating the overall strength of Nanhai Manufacturing. On October 16, Xu Yongqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Nanhai District Committee of Foshan City and Executive Deputy District Mayor, led a team to visit several member companies of the association.

Business activities regained vitality. The head of the association visited the Canton Fair on the 16th and was interviewed by a reporter from the Foshan News Media Center. The head of the association said, “At this Canton Fair, our member companies have shown a good atmosphere of ‘going global in groups’. Faced with a complex market environment and changing international trends, member companies are also constantly improving their internal strength to compete in the Canton Fair with a better appearance.”

In the small home appliance exhibition area, Nanhai electric fan related enterprises brought a variety of products to the exhibition, bringing surprises to buyers. The association visited the booths of many member companies such as Feixing Electric Company, Jinxing Hui Electric Company, Nanyang Electrical Company, Flying Electrical Company, Jixing Electrical Appliances Company, Huaxing Electrical Company, Hengjun Electrical Company, Gold Medal Electrical Company, and Boside Electrical Company, and received positive feedback.

A relevant person in charge of Hengjun Electric Co., Ltd. revealed that this year’s exhibition mainly attracted customers from South America, Europe and other places, and the effect was much better than this year’s Spring Fair. From the product highlights, the company’s ceiling fans meet the preferences of South American buyers, and products such as table fans also have certain sales in Europe.

The person in charge of Nanyang Electrical Appliances Company happily said, “It feels like a new spring has come.” The customer base of this exhibition is extensive, including upstream and downstream buyers, with very clear purchasing goals and clearer intentions. This aligns well with the company’s characteristic of offering a large number of components and related products. It is reported that the company’s exhibition clients mainly come from the United States, Northern Europe, Northern Africa, and other regions.

The person in charge of Jinxinghui Electrical Appliances Company said that their booth attracted the most Asian and Russian merchants, and the number of foreign merchants increased significantly. The customers visiting this exhibition have clear goals, and the overall situation is better than in previous years. At present, the company is actively expanding its product categories, exhibiting products suitable for winter use, humidifier products and electric fans suitable for summer use together, in preparation for market expansion next year.

At its booth, a bladeless floor fan that can rotate 180° attracted the attention of merchants. The person in charge introduced that this is a new product developed this year. It mainly adds a rear bracket on the basis of the original bladeless floor fan, so that the fan can not only swing left and right to supply air, but also supply air up and down, making it suitable for more usage scenarios.

The person in charge of Jixing Home Appliances Company said that the number of customers at this Canton Fair has increased significantly. Customers came to consult about the style, price, and other transaction details of fan products, showing strong purchasing intentions.

New products are “blooming in bloom” and are widely welcomed. In general, mobile and fixed electric fans, outdoor solar electric fans, and electric fans with three-in-one functions of charging, lighting and blowing are in a leading position in the market due to their diverse functions, and naturally attract more attention.

At present, intelligent and high-end electric fans are basically produced in China, because it is more convenient to develop and trial produce in China; while the production capacity of non-high-end electric fans tends to shift to Vietnam. Some domestic companies are also increasing their investment in production automation, using automatic tapping machines, automatic packaging machines, robots, automatic clamps, and other automated equipment.

The association found during its visit that buyers prefer solar charging fans in areas with power shortages. Some companies have launched solar electric fans priced between US$22 and US$50, which are mainly sold to Africa.

The Canton Fair is an important platform for market expansion. Many member companies of the association came well-prepared, actively engaged with market demands, launched new products, and achieved solid results, fully demonstrating the openness and resilience of Nanhai’s electric fan enterprises.
